Neighborhoods in New Orleans
French Quarter – Arguably one of the most well-known neighborhoods in the entire United States, the French Quarter of New Orleans is a dynamic, robust, and beautifully historic cultural hub located right in the heart of the city along the water. River Ridge – The neighborhood of River Ridge is located just outside of the city and is considered one of the more popular suburbs of New Orleans. Metairie – The neighborhood of Metairie is located outside of the city, but within the metro area. As the largest community in Jefferson Parish, Metairie is a mini city all on its own with a population of nearly 150,000 residents. Metairie is a nice place to live if you want the urban vibe without the New Orleans raucous.
Mandeville – Mandeville, Louisiana is a quiet, low populated town located right on the North Short of Lake Pontchartrain, just across the lake from New Orleans. A perfect place to raise a family and settle down, Mandeville offers beautiful views and a wonderful neighborhood.
Slidell – Located on the northeast shore of Lake Pontchartrain, Slidell is a mid-sized town that offers quiet, scenic living along the lake and the nearby Pearl River Wildlife Management Area.
