Since 2022, Landing's Homes for Healing has provided fully-furnished, private homes to families traveling for life-changing pediatric medical care. Our goal is simple: offer comfort, stability, and togetherness during some of the hardest moments a family can experience.
Navigating medical treatment for a child is overwhelming emotionally, financially, and logistically. Homes for Healing was created to remove as much of that burden as possible. By offering a peaceful, no-cost place to stay, we help families focus on what matters most: caring for their child.

Instead of relying on shared accommodations, crowded hospitality housing, or costly hotels, Landing provides families with a fully-equipped home, free of charge, where everyone can stay together in comfort and privacy.

Homes for Healing team partners with pediatric hospitals to identify families needing temporary housing. Following a hospital referral, we match families with a Landing home that fits their needs, timeline, and care plan.

At Landing, we know medical journeys don’t always follow a schedule. If treatment requires more time, we work with our hospital partners to extend stays, ensuring families have stability for as long as they need it.
Homes for Healing currently supports families receiving pediatric care in Birmingham, Phoenix, and Cincinnati.

When their daughter, Novah May, began treatment at Children's Hospital of Alabama, the Hegwood family faced an impossible choice. Living in Opelika, more than two hours away, their only options were sleeping in the hospital room beside her or making the long drive back and forth each day.
Through Homes for Healing, Landing provided the family with a private, comfortable home just minutes from the hospital. Now, Novah May's parents can stay close throughout her treatment, and on weekends, her grandparents bring her two siblings to visit, giving the whole family a chance to be together during a challenging time.
"We have been through a lot these past few months. Having somewhere to be together & have a home-cooked meal was fabulous."

In 2019, we welcomed our third child, Caroline, to our family. Caroline was born with a rare genetic disorder called CHARGE syndrome that affects multiple systems of the body. During her first year, we traveled back and forth from our home in Alabama to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to seek medical treatment and multiple surgeries for Caroline – an experience that inspired us to help others navigating similar situations. Inspired by Caroline, powered by our Landing team, and made possible by our property partners, we are honored to have the opportunity to help those facing a similar journey so they can focus on what matters most.
