About Memphis

The great state of Tennessee is known for its beautiful southern culture – and yet, one forgets that the shape of the state drags all the way west to the banks of the Mississippi River. In fact, that’s precisely where the city of Memphis lies. Just a stones throw across the river to the state of Arkansas, Memphis is a beautiful riverside city with so much history. Known as the birthplace of blues, rock n roll, and soul music, musical acts like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and BB King either called the city home, or recorded in its famous studio spaces. Today, the city is ripe for growth.

Business in the area

chevron-down
Along the banks of the Mississippi River, the city of Memphis is very much an industrial city built on the success of a number of large corporations, in addition to small businesses owned by Memphis city residents. For example, FedEx calls the city home, in addition to International Paper, AutoZone, ServiceMaster, and a number of other largescale enterprises. With such a vibrant and robust economy, Memphis is a wonderful place for a young professional or a seasoned executive to explore.

Southaven is the third largest city in Mississippi and is considered one of Memphis’ most populated suburban neighborhoods.

Midtown – While it share some similarities to Downtown Memphis, Midtown has a bit more culture. Along with its exciting nightlife, the district also offers exciting venues like Overton Square, Playhouse on the Square, and a number of exciting live music venues.
