How short or long can I stay?

Stays start at 30 days and go up from there. Rates vary by the duration of your stay.

Why am I being asked to sign a lease?

In most cases, Landing doesn’t require you to sign a direct lease with a property, because we’re the corporate leaseholder and you’re subletting from us. However, you may have to sign a direct lease in one of two scenarios:
  • A property may have temporarily reached the maximum amount of corporate signed leases it can accept. Corporate leases are leases that allow an entity to sublease to individual subtenants.
  • A small selection of homes on our site are properties that Landing does not yet have a formal relationship with, but are within our service area.
In both cases, in order to secure the unit you’ve requested, we’ll provide you a 12 month direct lease from the property with special terms indicating that Landing will effectively take over your lease upon early departure. This way, you still enjoy flexible living with the ability to move out or transfer within our network with as little as two weeks notice.

Are there any other fees apart from what I see on the website?

  • No, what you see is what you get! All variable monthly fees (utilities etc) are paid by Landing.
Members may be required to pay any pet, parking or other amenity fees charged by the building (these will be assessed & communicated before lease signature).

Can I tour a home before booking it?

Yes! You can request virtual tours on our website.

Does Landing own its apartments?

Rather than build new units or buildings, Landing partners with local property developers and managers in each market to secure existing apartments and transform them into Landings.

Do you run a background and credit check?

Yes! Landing runs a background check through CoreLogic. Note, while Landing’s background checks do not affect your credit score, some property partners require a deeper screening that could affect your score.

Will I be charged immediately?

At checkout you will be charged your Landing membership fee and depending on length of stay and how soon you plan to move you may be charged the first month's rent or the full amount (for short term stays) up front. In the event that you do not complete and pass Landing's verification process, all fees will be refunded within 14 days.

Do I need to set up utilities?

Landing reservations are set up with internet and utilities prior to your move in.

What if I need to change my dates or cancel my reservation?

If it's less than 24 hours since you've made the reservation then no problem! Just reach out to us and we'll be happy to help and issue a full refund. Unfortunately, after 24 hours from the reservation, you will have to pay a cancellation fee equal to the Monthly Occupancy Fee payable for thirty days, but we can still help you get your reservation cancelled. How do I check into my home?

  • A Landing host will meet you on your move-in date to show you your new home, the amenities of your building and assist you with getting on the wifi. We'll also send an email with any information you might need to park, access the building, etc. On your way out, you just leave any fobs, etc. on the kitchen counter.

How do I check out of my home?

  1. Pick up all the rooms and strip the bed. No surprise disasters, please.
  2. Load and run the dishwasher if there are any dirty dishes.
  3. Throw away your food and take out the trash. Our hosts don’t like moldy food.
  4. Sign out of any streaming services and take all of your things with you.
  5. Leave all keys and parking passes on the counter. Otherwise there is a $250 fine if you take them.

What's the cleaning policy?

For furnished apartments, when we set up your home we'll ask you for a cleaning frequency and set it up for you. And if you need additional, one-off cleanings you can set those up as well by contacting us at [email protected]

Cleaning Protocols

Our top priority is the health and wellbeing of our community.
  • Landing Hosts are required to follow the local restrictions and regulations regarding wearing a mask when they clean.
  • Hosts complete a 64-point checklist during a turnover clean.
  • All surfaces are disinfected at the start and end of each cleaning, with emphasis on high-touch areas (door handles, light switches, etc.).
  • We hold weekly info sessions for Hosts to cover updates and best practices (e.g. cleaning vs. disinfecting).

The amenities available vary by building, but we include access to all amenities in the rent, so you're free to use whatever the building provides!

How does Landing travel work?

Landing members are eligible to stay in a vacant furnished Landing for up to 7 nights per active year of membership. The minimum length of stay is 2 nights and members are required to pay a move-out cleaning fee. Please contact [email protected] for additional details & availability.

Why doesn’t my furnished apartment have full window covering?

Almost all of our property partners offer full window coverings (i.e. blinds, curtains), but a select few have limitations - it’s possible the window has a unique shape or is difficult to cover due to its size.
If the rare situation does arise where window coverings aren’t available, Landing will work with you and the property to try to come up with a solution.
