Meet Our Members: How Landing Helped Morgan Rupp Avoid Moving Headaches

Landing Apartment

Hi, everyone! My name is Morgan, and I am a new Landing member based in Tampa, Florida. I relocated from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after finishing my MBA and accepting a new job in Tampa.

I had never been to Tampa before, so I didn’t really know the service providers in the area and the different communities. The Support team at Landing helped me identify an appropriate apartment complex that had what I was looking for at a rate I was willing to pay and was also close enough to both the downtown area and work.

What I really like most about Landing is the convenience, support, and ease of the move. I didn’t have to buy furniture and have it shipped. I essentially brought my personal items—my clothes and my tech stuff—and everything else was pretty much provided. The utilities were all set up, so I didn’t have to worry about that, either.

You get all of the information you need from your Landing host, who meets you at your apartment, gives you your keys and the Wi-Fi password, and introduces you to what you can expect and all the amenities within the community and your unit.

For the most part, what you see is what you get in your Landing apartment. The furniture, conveniences within the apartment, lighting fixtures, etc., are all set up for you. My kitchen has tons of cabinets, storage, and counter space, and is fully loaded with utensils, pots, pans, and new appliances, including a coffee maker.

In the living area, all the furniture and lighting fixtures are provided, and there’s a TV mounted on the wall. The living area also has a couple of lamps, a sofa, and a coffee table. There is also a desk with a lamp in this part of the apartment, which I outfitted with my own computer and monitor.

My bedroom includes a TV, dresser, artwork, and a bed with pillows, blankets, and sheets. The bathroom has plenty of counter space and storage, and the shower is large and has great water pressure! My apartment also has in-unit laundry.

As far as what the future holds, I work in operations and supply chain management, and that may require relocation after a month, two months, or a year. So, the flexible leasing with Landing is also a great benefit. I just have to give notice and move to a different Landing property in a different city, which would make the whole moving process really easy.

Ultimately, that’s what benefits my life. I don’t have to worry about some of the things that I’d otherwise have to worry about during a relocation. The best things about Landing are the convenience of moving into a new place in a new city, and their flexible leases in the case that things change with your job.
