My Favorite Things to Do in Las Vegas

Bar-hopping in the Arts District (I love all the quirky mural art).

Hiking on the wave rock in the Valley of Fire at sunset.

Happy hour at the Downtown Cocktail Room in downtown Las Vegas.

Coffee and live music outside on the weekends at Fergusons Downtown.

Picnic outside and watch a live musical production at Super Summer Theatre in Red Rock Canyon.

"I love how Las Vegas always continues to surprise me. I've lived here for over 10 years, but I'm always discovering new hole-in-the-wall restaurants, hidden hiking trails, and fun activities that I never knew existed. I also love the city's under-the-radar beauty. Nevada doesn't have the obvious, "in your face" beautiful scenery of somewhere like Hawaii or Alaska—it takes a little searching to find it, but that makes you appreciate it more. I've lived all over the world, and Las Vegas has the best sunsets of any place I've ever been. The mountains flush this brilliant orange color and the sun glints off the shiny glass casinos. It's a stunning sight!"
