Milwood, in North Austin, offers a well-established community that is perfect for young professionals. There’s no shortage of things to do in this area, with plenty of parks to be outside and get active. Also, you’re only 10 minutes away from The Domain, so you can visit this neighborhood when you’re in the mood for some nightlife!

Where to go out to eat in the Milwood neighborhood

For some classic Texas barbecue, look no further than Smokey Mo’s BBQ, with its plentiful plates of brisket, turkey, pork loin, chicken, sausage, pork rib, and even jalapeño sausage. Pair your meats up with a side of potato salad, buttered potatoes, or coleslaw, and you’ve got yourself a meal (or maybe even two!).

Aviator Pizza and Drafthouse offers specialty pizzas that Austin residents love, including the Sriracha Brussels Sprouts and Goat Cheese Pizza and the El Nacho pizza with ground beef, olives, jalapenos, cheddar, oregano, and tortilla strips.

Love Thai food? Head over to Sip Saam Thai for pad thai, drunken noodles, and mango sticky rice in a warm and inviting space.

Where to get groceries in the Milwood neighborhood

H.E.B. is the place to go for groceries in Milwood, with everything you need to stock your kitchen in one place. Located in the McNeil Crossing plaza on Parmer Lane, this grocery store is easy to access if you move to this part of Austin, TX.

You can even get the best of both worlds with JuiceLand’s hot or iced SuperFood Lattes and Tonics. We recommend the Golden Mylk Coffee Latte with cold brew coffee, hemp seed, date, turmeric, coconut oil, cinnamon, and vanilla. What a great way to start the day!
